Previous Episodes
A spaceship plummets to Earth in a construction site,
and five unsuspecting teens - Jake, Rachel, Marco, Cassie, and Tobias -
discover a dying alien, an "Andalite" prince named Elfangor,
who communicates with them in <thought-speak>. Elfangor warns them
that Earth has been invaded by the evil "Yeerks," green, slug-like
creatures, which enslave their victims one by one by crawling into their
ears and taking control of their minds. To empower and protect the young
Earthlings, Elfangor gives them a unique Andalite gift - the ability to
morph into any animal they touch. Now, the five "Animorphs" must
use their newly acquired power to battle the Yeerks and save the galaxy.
They must trust no one, and nothing will ever be the same again….
Our Comments
This show was really cheezy! I mean the graphics
were horrible and the acting was bad. Elfangor looked horrible. It just
looked like some cheap blue horse like costume. The stalk eyes were just
some rubbery eyes on the top of the costume.
They did a great job on the morphing. That was
the thing I was worried about in the show. The picture of the yeerk didn't
even look like a slug. The acting had no depth to it. I mean I understand
the show was a low budget show but I have seen some older sci-fi aliens
shows and they had some better special affects than this show had.
Episode 2. "MY NAME IS JAKE" - PART
TWO
Scared and curious, the Animorphs experiment with
Elfangor's gift. On Cassie's family farm, Jake, Rachel, Marco, Cassie,
and Tobias practice their new morphing powers, experiencing, for the first
time, what it feels like to be a horse, a cat, and a rat. The Animorphs,
now confident about their new ability, return to the crash site to retrieve
a lost disk given to them by Elfangor, who warned the kids to guard it
with their lives. To their horror, when the Animorphs arrive at the construction
site they find the place filled with "human-Controllers!"
Our comments
Ok this one wasn't quite as bad. The morphing
part of the show was good and Rachel chasing Marco what a hoot! It still
was bad because the acting wasn't there. Marco seen about his dad going
crazy if anything happened to him was very bad. He didn't act anything
like Marco and he only was reluctant for that one seen. If you remember
in the first book Marco was reluctant for alot of the book. Thought, I
relize the show couldn't be exactly like the books they need to fix some
things.
